As a former cast member of the Curley Blackfriars’, it is a tremendous honor to be chosen to teach English at such a great institution. After leaving The Catholic High School of Baltimore, I finished my college preparatory courses as well as earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in English with a minor in Education from Coppin State University. Next, I received a Presidential Fellowship from the University of New Hampshire which enabled me to earn a Master of Education in Secondary Education with a concentration in Sociolinguistics. During the last twenty-eight years, I have taught secondary students in public, private, and independent schools as well as youth in mental health and juvenile detention facilities. Throughout my career my love for Christ has motivated me to serve all youth in spite of their circumstances. In the King James Version of the Bible, Jesus told his disciples, “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” As a follower of the teachings of Christ, I believe my role as an educator in any arena is to lead by example; therefore, I look forward to providing an optimal learning experience to the students at Curley as they transform from boys to men.

When I am not teaching, I volunteer with various organizations as well as travel. My love for musical theater continues to grow, and I look to supporting the Curley Blackfriars.
